Opel Corsa 1.7 CDTi 100 (c) power and torque after remapping

• Fuel: Diesel
• Standard power: 100 bhp, remapped: 130 bhp (+30 bhp, +30%)

• Service: stage 1 ECU remap, fully dyno tested

What a remap does for a diesel Opel Corsa C

The gains from remapping a diesel come from the engine management software rather than new parts: injection, boost and torque limits are re-mapped, which is why torque improves most and why the car often feels easier to drive at lower revs.

Opel Corsa 1.7 CDTi 100 (c) against other Corsa C engines

Of the 4 diesel Corsa C engines in our data, this one comes 3rd for power gain, which is exactly the Corsa C diesel average.

Across our whole catalogue the average diesel remap adds 34 bhp and 73 Nm, so this engine's 30 bhp and 60 Nm sits below that benchmark.
